I have a Timex Ironman and I love it. To be honest, it's way more comfortable on my wrist than any Rolex I own or have owned and keeps better time. Anybody who judges somebody by what watch they have on their wrist has issues of their own.

If you actually care about Rolex watches, welcome aboard and stick around and learn, if not, other forums have a Timex sub forum.

I have a Timex Indiglo that I bought a year before my Rolex purchase. I love that GLO feature, but it stopped lighting up after a few months. D'oh!

Very few Rolex owners actually judge you based on your watch...

Might want to look at this definition. Hopefully you aren't Yiddish.

You can probably answer that question better than we can but as far as wearing a Timex:

But now, 40 years later, I thank you for enlightening me

My grandfather used to say, "Timex or Rolex, what's the big deal? They both tell time."

And now that you know, where will you be wearing your Timex in the future...?

When I was a wee boy, a Timex Digital watch with 100 alarm tones including the Yellow rose of texas, was the watch to have

Not at all, I have a Timex that I use for training in the Bike and I love it! I also have a Swatch that use sometimes with jeans!
Those Timex are price concious, efficient, with multiple functions and VERY acurate!!!!
The beauty of anything is in the eye of the beholder!
Watches are an expresion of who we are and how we feel! most will say they are not defined by their watches but it is absolutely not true, the fact of the matter is vice versa, the watches we wear are defined by who we are, and how we feel, the same way how you dress does, the same way how you speak does! You feel sporty and practical wearing a Timex or at least I do! what does other watches tell you about other people? sofistication, recognition, conosieur, trendy, show off, etc. and you can feel any of these things any time, you do not have to be boxed in one of the categories which are as diverse as people is! That is the reazon some own many watches not just one!

I got the "Rolex or Timex, they both tell time" from my grandfather once. My reply was "Yes, this coming from a man who drives a Mercedes S600". "Touché" he said.

Best regards,

j.

That's not true. If you were wearing a leopard or zebra Daytona, we'd definitely judge you.

They have both worked fine for me over the years. I can't find fault in a Timex or the person who wears them.
