Hunt for the SS Daytona

O.K. here I go again. Since joining this forum I have purchased a ToG, TT GMT Ceramic and now I am seriously looking for the SS Daytona. I recently posted a rant about my local AD and how poorly he treated me. Many of you chimed in with wise and thoughtful responses. Some of you even offered to check with your local AD.

So for purely revenge purposes (well not just revenge, I do want the watch) please let me know if any of your AD's have a black or white faced Daytona and I will buy it immediately just so I can walk in to my local AD and show it to him!

Mods, if this should be moved to the WTB / FS section, please move as you see fit.

Some of ADs shouldn't treat buyer like kid... I got tired of one of my ex-AD keep telling me their store hasn't got a SS Daytona since 1999. Dude, I know every Rolex AD get 3-4 SS Daytona each year...

It really irks me when we don't get good service from the AD even though we are prepared to spend more than $10K on a watch. Let's face it, an AD is patronised for the watches it brings in not its service. Just grab the Daytona and go off, no need to talk too much.

I really do not understand the hostility regarding SS Daytonas and ADs. It is a sales person who probably fields several request daily for the watch and most likely has no say in who gets them. I have been snubbed before and actually bought several watches from another sales person at the same AD (20). It was not personal just business. Will let you know if I see one.

To be honest, there's not much of a premium left on Daytonas. They are selling bnib for about 10k (now, probably due to a very slow market).. 9.2 + taxes is more or less the price.

No biggie.

There are about 50 of those watches in the Seybold Bldg in Miami. The dealers are all grey but you can make a deal with all those watches flying around..
