Royal Oak Sizing

I have a 15400 incoming and am trying to figure out how I'm going to size the bracelet. I have watch screwdrivers, but don't know how difficult it is to remove the screws and I'm also afraid of scratching it. Unfortunately I don't have an AP AD near me. Suggestions?

1. Determine how many links need to come out and from which side of the deployant.
2. Make sure you have the right size screwdriver.
3. Tape over the bracelet where you will loosen the screws.
4. Check points 1 & 2
5. Take a deep breath and work slowly!

If it's a brand that you're not used to sizing this is the best advice^^

I would not size an AP bracelet myself. Where in NY are you?

It's not hard really. But if there's too much resistance when trying to turn the screws, you may need to soften the loctite with a hair dryer first.

I don't even try to loosen bracelet screws without a hairdryer treatment. You'll mar up a screw head before you get the chance to realize heat is needed.

I'm actually in CT right now. Armstrong Rockwell is near me, but has been closed for construction.

Maybe take the train into the AP location in NYC. They will be able to do it in 10 mins. I am usually good with sizing bracelets but AP is a little tough IMO.

My 202 came with LOTS of Loctite on the screws. I size all my bracelets...from Seikos, to Omega, to Rolex. However, took my Jumbo to the AP boutique for sizing. Didn't want to screw up the finish with a ham-fisted attempt.

I had a lot of loctite on my AP screws too. It can be done with a perfectly sized screwdriver, heat source and lots of patience with carefully increasing pressure while turning. If all that doesn't move them, I'd throw in the towel and take it in before the screwdriver slips out of the notch and scratches the links and/or mars the screw heads.

I sized my 15400 without issue.

That being said, it was a bit more difficult than I planned. Just a lot of loctite as stated above.
