Good question. Since the recent price increase in the UK, ADs who had existing stock from before the price increase may have more room to work with on the price.

Not my understanding, I had a piece ordered and delivered to my AD which was due for an October collection. Got the call to say payment in full needed prior to the price increase date or the price would go up 10%! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

However if an AD had a watch sitting in their display for 6 months, the AD's cost was less than if they received one from Patek after the price increase, since they paid for the watch upfront when they received the allocation 6 months ago. Whether an AD will pass on that savings to the customer is up to the AD as there is no strict rule on this. Price increases can be an opportunity for AD to make extra profit on inventory owned before the price increase. But if the watch is a slow mover, they may negotiate on the price. It depends on the supply/demand of the goods (i.e. 5270) in question. And I don't know if there is a greater demand or supply of 5270 in the UK at the moment. Here in the US, the 5270 seems to be in greater supply than demand. |

I have replied to your PM, but I won't disclose the prices I paid openly I am afraid.

Loads o wiggle room on these. Can't think of a dealer that doesn't have at least 1 (except blue dial no chin). At £108000 the dealer was already spluttering "it's open to negotiation"!

Let's hope they hold true. I paid for the 5930 in April!

I wouldn't buy a new 3rd series of 5270 over 114k USD at today's exchange rate. Plenty available. Most ADs got a hold of this piece.
