Nautilus white gold 5711G - 001 or 5712
Dear all,
I need your advice as i have not seen much threads about this particular time piece. A friend of mine is having this white gold Nautilus and he wants to sell it to me. I am having DSSD, Daytona Panda and indeed want to purchase first Patek. What i want to have is the full steel 5712. I have been quoted for the used 5712, and it is 2k higher than this 5711G. Which one should i go for? Thanks!!!! |

You wrote, "What i want to have is the full steel 5712." I think you know the answer already, and the 5712/1a is a great choice!

I think in this case you should go for the 5712A since you said you want that watch to begin with, the 5711G is nice but for the PM 5711 i like the 5711R best.
Also if you are a fan of the asymmetrical beauty that the 5712A brings then its a no brainer. if you prefer cleaner/simple dials then 5711G is the watch. goodluck! Heres some 5712A encouragement (not that you need it really) |

Understood, but when it comes to items such as these (Pateks and other expensive luxury items), I wouldn't buy something because it's cheaper or a good deal. I only would buy it if it's what you want. Here's a little encouragement: I owned this and flipped it, and I really miss it.

The 5712 is way cooler IMO, and not saying this because I have it, it's my favorite Nautilus, and you need a Nautilus on bracelet, so 5712 or 5711 on bracelet with blue dial, you'll regret not getting one of these 2... Like Stephen said at these prices you don't get something because it's a few K cheaper, you get what you want, and it's clear which one you want, a Nautilus on strap is a nice watch, a Nautilus on bracelet is an awesome watch...

Dude, you just got your grail watch, in a few months you'll have saved enough cash to get a 5712 back, but I do agree that you need one, the 5131 is awesome but it's cool to have a Nautilus on bracelet to go with it...

If your heart is 50/ 50 between the two I'll suggest the 5712....but since you specifically mentioned 5712, there's no doubt that you should get the 5712.

Another 5712 fan here, one of my very favourite watches bar none, and certainly my favourite Naut.
