I got an email from a pen dealer that these limited edition (200) Visconti Millennium Arcs were on sale. The price was good. Real good. I've seen the pen in pictures before but the design, honestly, didn't appeal all that much to me. It was more rounded than the faceted pens I'm usually interested in. Then there's that funky arc filler button in the middle. The design was just all a little too "organic" for my taste, but it has a tubular nib just like my Visconti Pininfarina! I was looking to swap my Smartouch stub nib for a medium. The retail price on these pens was not feasible for just a nib but I went looking when I got that email and managed to find the pen even cheaper and then finagle an extra 15% off. I was able to get the pen delivered for about $60 more than just the nib! Mostly because I would have to order the nib from Europe, then get hosed on the conversion rate and shipping. Any other Visconti with a Smartouch nib was over twice the cost of the Millennium Arc. I determined I would be freakin crazy to turn down a limited edition Visconti for only $60 more than a nib even if the design wasn't my favorite so I put in an order asap. I wanted to swap out the nib on my Pininfarina because the stub just wasn't working on that pen. The feed would dry out and the clip had me finger locked to really enjoy the stub. My plan was to get a Millennium Arc in a medium Smartouch tubular nib and swap the stub to the Millennium arc because it has a traditional round section and a real cap. The capped pen with the round section shouldn't have a problem with the stub. Then swap the medium to the Pininfarina since it would not be so position sensitive. After receiving the Millennium Arc though, I really like the pen now that I have one. The green resin is very interesting with threads of white and shimmering silver through the whole pen. The arc/crescent filler doesn't bother me at all. It's one of the best filling designs I've used. It takes only minutes to clean completely and fill. You can do it all without disassembly and with only one hand. All you do is turn the clear locking collar and press the arc. That's it. The medium steel Smartouch nib that came with the pen is dead smooth. Super smooth and almost on the verge of baby's bottom. This pen is fairly light and I would get a small hard start now and then. After swapping the nib to my Pininfarina, a heavier pen, I don't have a problem with hard starts. The green Millennium Arc looks great in person and the rounded design adds some variation to my faceted collection. It's actually a very fun pen to use. I'm happy to have one!

Side view. I've read the clip tension is adjustable by turning the screw on the opposite side of the clip but I have not verified this just yet.

The tubular stub nib from my Pininfarina. There's no decorative laser engravings on this one so it looks sort of plain but it actually works on this pen!

Side view of the section and nib. The section is tapered down to be about medium to the small side but I find it to offer a lot of control and a good feel.

Yikes.....it's starting to look like you are buying on average at least one pen a day. Now there is nothing wrong in doing so.....but as far as I know there is no 12 Step Program to assist you in slowing down you addiction.....

Your new FP looks fantastic...use it in the best of health and enjoy!!!

Thank you again Sir! I just picked up a Visconti Wall Street as well for repair the other day. This one I might flip but I might keep it. It's a very nice gray stacked celluloid and I picked it up for a very good price. The only thing that is slowing me down is saving for a bluesy sub. That's going to put a hold on my pen addiction for a while for sure. I'm aggressively saving and that second payment to my sub savings account stung a little yesterday
