Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513.

Serial R996xxx dates to 1988

Love the watch and I will surely miss it but my SeaDweller has been on my wrist too much and I'm adding something a bit dressier to the mix.

Condition is very good and it retains much originality.

The case is thick and the crown guards are very beefy (love this look).

Insert is original and has aged to a pretty gunmetal gray color. Has enough character to complete the vintage look. Will also include a replacement service bezel insert which was only installed for a few hours.

Dial and hands are original and are a nearly perfect match color wise both showing an eggshell patina. Dial has evenly turned matte. The only note is a bit of dial chatter between the 11 and 12 indices (right up against rehaut). It's minimal and but worth mentioning (looking closely in some pics below you can see it a bit... on wrist it was a non issue for me). Probably the result of watchmaker carelessness during an old service.

Crystal was recently replaced during service.

Bracelet shows very light stretch. I did not photograph this but can add an image if needed. Currently sized for my 7.25 wrist and additional link is included.

The watch was fully overhauled by Rik Dietel in August of last year at a cost of approx $950. I will include the invoice. It is running perfectly and will offer years of stress free ownership knowing it has recently been given a clean bill of health by one of the best!
