orient watches

I'm thinking about buying an Orient diver watch. They look like a pretty nice watch for the money. Has anyone had any expirences with this brand?

They are made in Japan, and have been around for a long time.

Designs are fairly standard, but well made and robust. Should also perform admirably in terms of durability and taking a few knocks, but the movement is not adjusted therefore timekeeping may be less than accurate. Say +/- 20/day which is about the same as a Seiko Divers 200 (Orange/Black Monsters etc.)

I have Orient Perpetual Calendar, and in my experience, the accuracy is good. Good value, and for me the brand Orient has "mysterious sentimental" nuance. Especially after it disappeared in my country for I dont know how long, may be a decade. I bought mine in Akihabara during my visit to Japan earlier this year.

Orient was my first automatic watch. I've had one for years. I've never serviced it and it keeps excellent time.
