When did the anchor and tool kick stop getting issued with Seadweller 16600?

Hi guys,
As the title says I'm interested in adding a classic Sea Dweller to my collection but ideally want a full set with anchor and tool kit along with B&P. I know that later versions did not get sold with these extras. My question is approx when did this change over happen? Either approx year or serial number.

Oh yeah and if anyone has one they are looking to move, let me know

Cheers
Nick

Might be easier to find a nice example with box and papers and source the extras separately on accessory forum or the bay. Would be very difficult imo to find a truly complete set for sale. Just my 2 cents. Not sure what year they stopped doing it.

Not sure when they stopped, mine is 2001 and came with both. I think the anchor was fazed out about 2004.

There are a few complete sets in TRF classifieds. I think there's even an NOS full set with plastic stickers still on the watch.

Cheers!

I had an M series purchased in 2008 and it had the 'goodies'. Sadly, I flipped it years back, should've held on to it.

I gave a few away to forum members a few years back, it was around late 2004 into 2005 they completely disappeared from the Rolex Sub watch range.

Sure Padi,

But many "collectors" have the OCD gene...that's what makes them collectors!

Not saying I agree - but that is part of the hobby for many.

Well myself collect watches and not marketing nick knacks, and agree about the OCD factor. I have seen a vast change in the OCD factor over the past 11 years of being a mod on this forum and its getting worst almost daily.Just wish many would enjoy there watches and treat them as watches, and not something that must be pampered and almost worshipped daily.

My recollection is the anchors went away with the new box sets and D or F serials. So the last SDs with tool set, calendar card, decomp time chart, paper warranty, and anchors would have been Y or K series, if memory serves me. Versions after that had the tools, but no anchor and came in the newer type box and warranty card set.

I bought a like new 16600 with box and papers. I sourced the anchor and tool with dive chart. To me it was important to have the complete set one of the things I love about the 16600, I think all the accessories really captured the spirit of Rolex and the seadweller, something I think Sadly the 6 digits have lost. The accessories are defiantly over priced but since they are becoming harder and harder to find, I payed up lol

Hey everybody likes the full meal deal ... But I don't wear the box or papers or nick knacks and really all they do is take up room and collect dust.

Same here.......the OCD thing can end up going too far...maybe to the point where the enjoyment goes out of all this?

Yes agree, mine has the full set, but in reality I have never taken the box out of my sock draw since I bought the watch.

Of no real use to until if I decide to sell the watch, I keep my watch in the service pouch which came from Rolex.

The condition of the watch is the most important thing, no accessories would compensate that for me.
