A Patek that everyone loves?

With all of the differences in opinions on newer Pateks including the limited pieces, perhaps we should reflect on an older model that everyone seems to love!

Stunner and no disagreement Roger. THAT is the perfect PP IMHO.

I dare say perfect dress watch.

The past is not in question, the future...well...

Great idea! And I think you've kicked it off with the perfect example. Although it would be tough to find another example of such a Patek that everyone loves. Maybe the blue 5711/1A gets close. Or the 3700 instead?

When only the best will do
I am also a fan of the 5110p, 5004, 5550 and of course the 5370

Thanks everyone. It is actually my second. I had a momentary lapse of reason and sold the first but it is great to have one back in the collection!

I don't know which other PPs are universally loved. Maybe the 5070p? 1518 and 2499? 5131 (but possibly for the wrong reasons)?

Love the dial/PM choice. Congratulations on getting it back in your collection!

The 5070 is a stunning ref too.

Probably but i don't thing the 1518 belongs in that list
It's too small and the 2499 looks much better

That's the "perfection" for a complicate watch. In person the size and the proportions are just perfect

I'd add 3940 to that list. A modern classic and detractors are few.

Agreed, beautiful classic Patek, but possibly a little small for some people?

I prefer the RG and WG version. The black/Pt wears very small...

Definitely grail worthy and I do love this reference. How is the legibility with the dark dial and no lume on the hands?

Er, sorry to sound a bum note, but I don't like any of the PC Chronos at all. I know I'll be the only one to say this. They just don't appeal to me on any level.
