watch matching car

This issue may have been addressed before. I recently started to expand my horizons and made the mistake of checking out non-rolex watches. I came across the JLC AMVOX series. Well I know its affiliated with the Aston Martin with some watches actually opening doors etc (from what I read). I think its a beautiful watch. Im just wondering if anyone here buys watches (for example the Breitling Bentley series and this one) without actually owning that specific car. I dont Nissan will be coming out with any exclusive watch anytime soon.

Breitling and Bentley is a weird and overreaching one, since most agree the Bentley watch equivalent is a Patek or Lange.

I don't like car tie ins with watches. I much prefer watch tie ins with cars like IWC in Mercedes dash

lol. I like that attitude.

Im just wondering if it was a no no to get a watch like that Amvox 2 and not have an Astin Martin. Meaning if a watch enthusiast were to see someone with it on and then not have the car to match it what would one think.

I don't think observers should try to match people's cars and watches. Everyone is doing their own thing and (hopefully) own the cars/watches they need independently of each other. I do.
That said...
The red 24 hour hand of my 16710 GMT matches my 2012 Tacoma base 4x4.
It just worked out that way.

I have an Amvox 5 but I don't think I'd ever own an Aston Martin. My business requires a lot of international travel and not having a nice car is a must in trying to keep a low profile.

I am not interested in a watch with a car brand on the dial. Even if I could afford a Bentley, Aston Martin or other high end brand I would not have a watch with the car logo.

If my watch was running fast, I'd buy a Ferrari. If it was running slow, I'd buy an old banger.

Love the watch, Bill. I'm wearing my Y-series all black GMT-II as I type this.
