DaytonaC trade proposition

So I've been approached by a friend of a close friend that owns a 3 week old AD bought Daytona ceramic 116500LN black dial. He wants me to trade him 2 of my vintage pieces in an even exchange for his Daytona.

Watches in question:

1967 Premoon c321 145.012SP

1978 Submariner 1680

For:

Do it?

Beautiful watches, I wouldn't make the trade. I think it would be harder to replace those two than to eventually acquire a Daytona C.

Although I love the new Daytona, I would agree with this.

I wouldn't trade two beautiful vintage pieces for something I can buy in the next year or two.

Keep the Sub, trade the Omega plus cash.

No, I'd keep the Omega and Sub and just wait until I could get the Daytona outright.

Do you wear both of your vintage watches frequently, or rarely? If frequently then I wouldn't give up 2 watches to get 1 back in return, especially since you already have a chronograph.

I don't think either of those are particularly rare. Its not a red sub or special speedy. Unless they have some other sentimental value for you then I think you could replace them both for WELL under the cost of the Daytona.

I wouldn't do it. Agree about the vintage pieces being more difficult to replace.

Don't trade; DaytonaC will be around for several years in advance, while vintage pieces.....mmm, good luck!

Agreed...if not sentimental value, I'd do it

Being vintage pieces, do those have any sentimental value to you? Maybe passed down from a family member? If not, go for it.

I would not, it would be difficult for you to get back the pre moon speed master and the 1978 Sub if you change your mind.

I wouldn't...those vintage pieces will be harder to replace if you ever wanted to. Like any "hot, non-limited edition" item, Daytona-Cs will eventually be more readily available once the new wears off.

Tough call. Right now with the 500 C in limited supply and selling at a premium I suppose you could justify the trade.

As time rolls on me thinks less so.

All comes down to whether you're willing to wait for the 500 C.
