Rolex case dimensions

Has anyone ever compiled the dimensions of different years of watch cases and any differences?

I know it wouldn't answer all questions about whether a case has been polished or not but it might help.

If people who actually had original condition watches were to measure every aspect of a case at least knowing what they started at might be useful info.

Is this too much of a simplification?

it may or not prove much good especially in the vintage area as rolex used to hand polish brand new cases during the manufacturing process at the factory. however i could be wrong and some case models were strictly machine polished but as i recall alot of vintage subs and GMT models were hand done when manufactured. there may be some validity to your idea if certain models were strictly done by machine? i'm sure someone else here may know :)
