What Maintenance Routines do you do on your own?

Dear fellow rolex owners

Just curios on what kind of (preventive) maintenance routine do you do on your own? How frequent? Or do you simply just wear it and forget?

Appreciate if you can share

Just like your car, keep it clean and don't let the fuel go empty.

This. And if you wear everyday you can eliminate the first 2.
I just wash it once in a while. No PM needed...

Once every week or two I wash them with soap and water. That's about it.

Soap and water. I find a soft toothbrush works wonders on the cracks, around the bezel, and on the cyclops gunk.

Give it a wash every now and then. Tuck it into sleep at night in its winder. Teach it from a young age to avoid tile floors.

Enjoy the watch/es as much as possible.

I used to believe the hype about 5 years service interval, I don't anymore.

I try to wash mine when their turn comes up in rotation, either when I start to wear them or when I put them away.

What else can one do? I don't believe in winders.

So far If I can conclude: regularly washing and (optionally) winding it. Any other?

I wash it twice a year with soap and water whether it needs it or not. And I rinse it with fresh water after I've been in the ocean or chlorinated water.

If you are looking for comments about maintenance of the movement I doubt many of us have the skills for that. I certainly don't. As many have already said all I do is try to keep my watches clean, including an annual ultrasonic bath of the bracelets.

Thank you Annan. Agree with you that mostly the normal owner will care on regular washing. Do yo mind to share picture of your ultrasonic bath and from where/how much did you purchase it? Many thanks

I think so. I watched some guys use it in YouTube to clean their rolex. But not sure if it doesn't do any issue. Never tried before.

I assume you didn't expect anyone to say they opened their watch to do p.m. So, what type of p.m. did you expect to hear about?

Actually I didn't have pre assumption. Simply just curious what will be the best way take care our rolex watch. Do we wear it in all occasion? Do we need any precautions to avoid extra shock on the watch? Do we need to avoid contact to certain liquid or materials and any other trick/tip to ensure it will operate superbly and shinny in longer time without needing a RSC service.

About once a month I wear it in the shower, and go over it with a soft toothbrush and baby shampoo. Since I only have one Rolex, maintenance is easy. And yeah, try not to drop it onto hard surfaces...
