Patek Calatrava advice

I'm planning on purchasing this 3423. However, I can't find much info on the reference so I'm not sure what a fair price is. I'd appreciate some help on deciding what to offer for the watch.

Hard to say, but with any vintage, out of production watch it will depend on condition, metal, rarity, and completeness. It's a very nice reference, but at 34mm it's small by today's standards and it's not sufficiently "iconic" or rare to justify a premium price.

Maybe check prior auction results but if I had to guess I'd say a typical example should be in the 8-10k range? I'm not a vintage expert so maybe others will chime in.

The exact watch was auctioned on Christie's and it went for $11,250. According to Christie's, there are only 5 rose gold 3423s and that has been the only one in the market so getting an estimate is quite hard. (Also, should that merit a significant premium?) In any case, the dealer's $17K ask is still really high right?

Thinking of getting this 2508 which is a lot more iconic than the 3423.

Based on my research, the price seems very reasonable but a major issue are the scratches on the dial. By how much does that devalue the watch?

I didn't want to open a topic for a very similar question:
Could anyone identify this watch, please? Maybe a 1503? I'M not sure (not opened yet)
