New AP Service Centre in Canada?

I am about to send in my watch to activate the 3rd year warranty and fix a rubber seal on the crown. My AD indicates they don't ship it to Clearwater anymore but to a new service centre in Toronto. I tried looking it up but to no avail.

Anyone know of this by chance, just reluctant to send it and the AD sends it to a "3rd party" repair location and not Clearwater since they provide good service and quick turnaround time.

Thanks in advance.

the 3rd year warranty is activated by registering your watch on APs website....no longer required to send it in....

APs authorized repair centre in Canada is located in Ottawa not Toronto...which baffles me to be honest......

The AD assured me that they are an authorized repair facility and will fix the watch as if it was sent to Clearwater.

Yes the location is in Ottawa not Toronto.

They expect 3-4 week turnaround time.

I sent my AP 15400 to Layth for the third year warranty extension and for him to take a look at another issue I had with it. He was very professional and did an excellent job.

I am extremely OCD about my 15400 too to the point where I dropped it off in person (drove down from Toronto) and paid a fair bit to have it shipped back to me with full insurance by Brinks.

The first time I saw Layth, I did the same thing. I made the drive. Basically AP is looking at other alternative and the best for right now was Layth who happens to be in Ottawa. There are other choices nearer Toronto but Layth is best qualified do AP and many other really high end brands. I'm not talk Rolex I mean serious horological brands. He did a good job. Just not dimming communication with the ladies in Clearwater.

Glad to hear a good experience however note that the 3rd year warranty no longer requires sending in since approx feb 2016. Just regustering it on APs website will give you the 3rd year warranty.

I can't believe I'm reading this.. Believe it or not, I decided against purchasing 15400 two years ago as I wasn't happy with shipping my watch to Clearwater. Now it's a defferent ball game.

So, if I purchase one from US boutique or RDV I can send it to Layth for any warranty and service work? That's amazing.

If anyone purchased 15400 from RDV and can pass me some fresh info on discounts through PM I would appreciate it.
