Who in the forum can remove a permanent link from my 93150 bracelet?
Hi gents.
I'm not able to remove the permanent link on the 6 o'clock side... This would turn the bracelet more balanced and comfortable, but I tried removing with no luck. My local AD refused to do it and a known watch repairman I know also politely refused, since he never done it before. Has anyone here ever done it successfully and willing to help me? Thanks |

Easy.
REMOVE bracelet. Tape bracelet in all areas that you want to preserve/not scratch, leaving the link you want to be removed-exposed. Clamp the link you want removed into a vise as hard as you can (clamp down on the actual link your removing!). Using a flat grip vise-grips, grab the OTHER side of the link your removing. From here, you use the vise grips to pull the link apart. It will require a SLIGHT twisting motion while pulling them apart. It takes all of about 10-15 minutes total if your taking your time/being careful. |

Morten, thanks for the help.
I sent a PM, but after looking at my mailbox, I have 0 items in the Sent Items ?!?? I'm not sure if you received it. Please let me know. It's probably easier to talk via email. Thanks ---------------------------------- EDITED After browsing the forum, it seems that the PM system doesn't save the messages in Sent Items unless you switch that function on, which I did, so I suppose you receive a PM from me. |
