Which one is better as a 1 watch only
I've been considering selling my YM 16622 lately. As I mentioned before, I like having only one watch only ( I have my reasons ).
Been looking around and I've determined that GMT is the most functional complication to me, well, GMT with Date. So the GMT Master II is pretty much the way to go. So the question is BLNR o LN. BLNR is a cool piece but I'm starting to think it belongs in a collection not as a 1 watch only. What do you guys think? I'm open for suggestions! |

Try them both on and pick the one you're happiest with.

In my very humble opinion, if you're going to go with one watch only, a Submariner is the way to go.
But since you've already deemed the GMT as the most functional, I would go with the BLNR. The LN is really really nice but the BLNR needs no intro - This is coming from someone who has purchased the watch and sold it twice and that is only because I couldn't deal with my PCL frustrations.

I would go LN. BLNR is the cool kid that's getting all the love these days, but I think I personally would grow tired of the blue/black combo even though it does initially look pretty cool. I like the LN with the black bezel and then the subtle hits of green on the GMT hand and model name. Seems like it would be a very versatile watch and a great single watch selection.

Either the LN or the BLNR would fit your bill.
If you've only seen pictures of the BLNR, you don't know how versatile the watch is aesthetically, given the way the bezel colors change according to ambient light. I don't think you'd be disappointed with a BLNR, but of course, the LN would be the safer choice.

I would think both would work fine. I would probably prefer a little color

For "one watch" I suggest OP, DateJust, or Day Date.

Either work as one and only - prefer BLNR for a bit of color. It's still serious when called upon

From a 114060 as one watch owner, I think I'd go with the LN. Although I don't think the BLNR is too "out there" that it wouldn't work as an only watch. So if you wanted to look down an KNOW you're wearing a GMT, go BLNR.

I'm also searching for a GMT and all rounder. I plan to look at the BLNR tomorrow. I had the LN but I grew tired of it.

One watch only...for sport, casual and dress?
I'd go with SS Datejust II Oyster. |
