Fitting Glidelock bracelet to GMTiiC

Hi

I've tried about 3 times now fitting the full subC bracelet onto my GMT and am unable to locate the springbars fully in the holes.

I'm using the GMT springbars.

I've previously fitted my Glidelock to. 5 digit sub, 5 digit GMT, and 5 digit daytona without any issues, so was surprised to find myself struggling with the 6 digit GMT!

Any tips greatly appreciated.

From what I recall when working with Everest on some pre-production straps, that the GMT-C holes are in a different location as other Rolex models. What I would do is keep using the GMT bracelet, but swap out the GMT clasp for the Glidelock clasp. Also, you probably already know this, but be sure to keep the end link fixed to the table, and slide in the watch head to the endlink (not the other way around). I have some images posted here that explains it. https://www.minus4plus6.com/maintenance.php#removal

It fits but not with the Sub's spring bars!

Edit: missed your comment about you using the GMT SB's I don't know then I've seen it done plenty of times but never tried it myself, a friend has his Sub's bracelet on his BLNR.

Why not just retro fit the clasp only they will interchange.

Then brush the bracelet if you want the same look as the Submariner.
