ROO 42 vs. 44

26470OR vs. 26401RO

Just wanted to ask this question and see what everyone's feedback would be. I'm making my next purchase today but not firm on which to get.

I wear the 42mm Themes everyday as my beater watch. I was planning to get the 44 but wasn't feeling it.

What do yah think?

The 44 looks best on you. Personally, something about all that gold of the 42 looks off. Congrats ahead of time on whatever you choose; both are great watches

IMO, if your wrist is over 7", the 2mm difference is almost neglible.

Personally, I was not "feeling" the 44mm chrono "pushpiece-guards" fitted, I found myself preferring the ceramic pushers not just in terms overall aesthetics but also in function.

But if we're talking about rose gold, I prefer the 44mm ceramic bezel as it give good contrast.

I'm partial to these two

I prefer the 44 gold. I've got the 44 full Ceramic and love it. My wrist is just a tad over 7" and, as was said, the 44 vs 42 made little difference on my wrist. I prefer the design of the pushers on the 44 so I went that direction.

Get the 44. You'll appreciate the ceramic bezel down the line.

I'd go with the 44. Even though the other has the nickname. "The brick"

If you don’t like the 44, then that’s perfectly fine – despite opposition to such an idea from the usual stalwarts. It’s your wrist, not theirs, and you’re the one paying for it too!
The 42 shown is very ‘meh’, so look beyond RG or seek an alternative brand, perhaps the VC Overseas 49150.

There’s far too much hype on here about specific models which clouds others’ judgement or ability to see beyond them – be your own person and know your own mind.
Personally, I’d sooner look at RG in the form of the Parmigiani Pershing or Girard Perregaux Chrono Hawk Hollywood – both very different to the same 44 RG ROOC that seems to be a dime-a-dozen here.

I’d loved to have also suggested the JLC LAB2 Extreme in RG, for possibly a bit more than you’re budgeting, but the 46.5 mm width, even with the lug shape and length, will be likely to dwarf your wrist.
Still, if you get a chance to try just the Titanium version on, give it a go – nothing ventured, nothing gained.

You can pull off the 44 so I'd go for that and I did, it is a bit of a forum darling but for good reason. I do like the 42 in RG but don't like the mustard dial.

44, not a huge fan of the 'mustard style' dial on the 42...

LOL, well I am planning to use my ceramic diver as my beater from now on, I have 2 Patek for daily wear which take too much wrist time over the AP, so it will be my beater, but of course a light beater, no intention whatsoever of using it like I would a 8K Rolex

If you are not feeling the 44mm I tend to think that you've answered your own question, however, speaking for myself I think it looks great on you and would complement your 42mm well.

They are both stunning, I will go for the 44. Get both if you are unable to decide.
