New style (hidden clasp) into old style jubilie

I know the two bracelets are not interchangable, but, can the new hiden clasp bracelet be made to fit a older DJ? Mabe making one out of two.
I don't have access to the new style, so I don't really know how different they are.

I think that you will find that the two bracelets are interchangeable..

I thought that it wouldn't fit due to the new case size that came along in about '04. Am I wrong?

Not an expert on this but as far as I am aware both the new and older versions of the DJ were 36mm, therefore, the new bracelet should fit an older model - I could be wrong though.

I think that the only change in the cases is the "block" shape with thicker lugs. They are still the same in between (20mm), and the case diameter where it mates is still the same..

Perhaps only minor modification ... I guess somebody with both needs to check in..

this is exactly the question i have had and asked around about in relation to putting such a hidden clasp on either my GMT or EXP, which should have the same lugs between them, but should be incompatible with the 36 size. HOWEVER, i once bought a jubilee in zurich ages ago, and the end pieces were for that short time they made the DJ with an odd extra part of the case, not the same arc, so i had to get other end pieces here. odd that they keep doing these little "tricks.." anyone else with thoughts? thanx!

Well, Dan has a very nice GMT 16710 with the hidden clasp Jubilee (I believe from a TOG) attached without any modification at all.

I have also seen Daytona clasps on Sub bracelets, and GMT IIc bracelets on Subs..

There is a wide array of interchangeability..

thanx again for your input which you were good enough to offer before. it is just the concern of being SURE before getting someone to get one for me in london or paris, get it only to find that it doesn;t quite work perfectly. given that it is made for the smaller DJ, something still seems improbable about it's being able to go right onto the pro models.
BUT given the masses trolling for them on TRF, it could find several easy buyers. THANX!

My new style jubilee came from an updated, new style DateJust [although a member of TZ did the same with a TOG new style jubilee]. So I can only vouch for the new style jubilee fitting a 16710 [classic style] GMT II. In fact, it fits better than the pics would suggest.
Like Larry, I've heard of newer Daytona bracelets on 16710's and GMT IIc clasps on older style bracelets. Don't know about interchangeability of jubilee clasps.

as things go here, i saw what looked like the hidden clasp jubilee on the subway, far down in the same car. but it looked as if it were bigger in some way. moving down, i saw that it was in fact on one of the newer DJ's, and i swear that it seemed the lugs were bigger, as mentioned a bit up in this thread. perhpas that it why it fit dan's GMT without problem... anyone really sure about the lugs on the new DJ? thanx!

I have to laugh when I see that bracelet, Dan. That sucker has been around the world!
