Hmm have heard of this before but it's AD BS if you ask me, if they say Rolex are making them do this they are talking out of their back sides...

I would imagine the most in demand and flipped model would be the SS Daytona and see below how I received mine!

Personally I wouldn't stand for it, you could refuse to purchase without it but guess they won't care as probably have someone waiting in line.

I wonder where you stand if you paid regardless of this silly clause they are trying to forums on you and as long as it's not in writing post payment demanding the card and if they refuse contact Rolex etc

I would think it's to stop you from flipping it as they BLNR has big waiting list and was the best price worldwide before price increase Monday - I am Irritated as what if I decide it's not for me after a few months - I only live 1/2 mile from this AD and bought another Rolex from them in July - I could handle 3 months but 12 months without card is stretching it

Obviously, its to stop speculation and the above 'list price' reselling of newly issued/in vogue pieces, I can see some merit in it. Sorry.

its fine with me. I just want the watch. I do flip a lot but if I managed to get a new blnr in the UK I don't see myself flipping it anytime soon.

A month I could understand but a year is a bit much. If you really want the watch I would go for it with the understanding that if it somehow really needs warranty work before a year is up that the AD would send the watch in with the warranty card.

I'd find another AD or go to a trusted seller....personally, if I buy the watch it's mine...card and all once I pay.

I would not accept that. Would not do business at an AD that implemented those practices either.

Buy the watch make sure they sign the card, take the stickers off and if they refuse to give you the card. Return the watch under the 14 day cooling off period

What AD is this?

I've bought several new Rolex models over the years.
I've never ever heard of this.

I would ask to speak to the manager and then the owner. I believe this is a situation that can be worked out or at least discussed. In the end, if you want the watch, and they will not budge. Pay for it. Have the stickers taken off, Card filled out an swiped. Then return the watch. They may not care, but I would reveal the name here on TRF and I would not do any business with them again. If you buy the watch, it is yours to do with as you please. None of the AD's business.

That's like buying a new car and the dealership holding on to the steering wheel. I would not stand for that at all.
