Need Advise First Rolex

Hello everyone. Need some advise. Thinking of buying my first Rolex. I have decide on a stainless Daytona. Since getting a new black or white ceramic is near impossible to obtain. I have decided to look at pre owned. I have my eyes set on one but I have a question. Did older Daytona stainless steel models that came from Rolex come in any other faces but black and white? The one I am interested in is an early 2000 model with an Arabic racing face (black with red second hands). Thanks in advance for any help.

That sounds like a dial from white gold daytona.
Stainless steal 116520 came only in white and black

Here is a tip for novice and experienced unless you are 100% sure of the store like bonswatches.com or an AD post a picture of the watch you want to buy to the sub section on here "Watch Out!".

Experts will comment on the validity and point out any issues, like service hands/dial or over polishing.

Advice? There are countless fakes, or other questionable Rolex watches out there, always best to "buy the seller first".

All the SS Daytona since its launch only came in black or white dials period.

Thanks this is what I thought. The watch i want is being sold through Luxury of Watches. I am not familiar with this company but so far they have been great to deal with. Im not saying it's fake but is switching out faces like this for Rolexes a common thing. What they have is this. Stainless Daytona early 2000. No certificate of authenticity from Rolex but their own.

My $.02. Stay away. Yes folks change the dials. Some trusted sellers have even sold them. Without all the boxes, papers, stock dial and everything else I would steer clear.

If you really like that look, get a white or black from a trusted seller here and then have it modified.

Actually, you need some *advice.*

You are here asking people to *advise* you.

My advice is, as a new / novice buyer, either purchase a proper SS Daytona in the offered configurations from a reliable source...or save up to buy the White Gold model which offers the dial you are keen on.

Good "advice" (apologies for the typo). Thanks. That's why asked the question. I kept seeing the majority of this arabic dial in white gold. Going to go look at a preowned Daytona today (in black).
