Weak at the knees

I paid a visit to my favourite AD today to ask about my position in the queue for a Sub black dial, and green dial. She assured me that she was doing her best for me. She then showed me a white gold Daytona with a blue dial. I went weak at the knees. I think it is one of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen. I was tempted to pull out my credit card and have a "you only live once" moment, but a Daytona won't keep you warm when you get sent to the spare room for an indefinite time.

Yeah, but, just think how good it will will feel to time the amount of time you spend in the dog house with your new Daytona....

I'm not sure if i'd be able to explain that one away either

On the balance of things, probably the right move

I was just at my AD getting on the list for the 116500...SA told me she had the WG blue dial in the safe, but I didn't even want to see it! I don't need those problems.

I'm in the same spot...I have not even asked to see one.

Green maybe, since I love the dial in pictures but won't buy a yellow gold watch. If that was in white gold, I'd have to bury my head in the sand like with the blue.

I thought the blue only came with the arabic numerals which I'm not a huge fan of. That one above is gorgeous

Oh man... That blue if only I had $30,000 or so to toss around. My AD gave me one of those "If you come back within 5 years you can trade your Daytona in for full price toward something 2x the value." type of deals. Maybe I should check this out...

I didn't even ask the AD to take one out for me, too risky.

You have to wait for a regular sub or green sub? I've seen them numerous times at ADs.

Beautiful watch; lucky I'm a poor man. Not to mention I value access to my bedroom as well.

Beautiful watch, but I'd wait a couple years until the Rolex design guys add a ceramic bezel. Can you picture it?

This WG blue dial combination is what could move me to get a Daytona one day.
