Greetings Fam,
What are your thoughts on this dial?  Seems gilt text.... and tropic... Legit? Can't recall seeing one like this. Looking at it in person tomorrow afternoon. Cheers A |

MK 5 dial and the bezel insert is likely a service replacement.
The dial is printed in standard white ink, not gilt.

Your dial is not a Mark IV, V or IV !!! These were the feet first dials.
You might want to study the font alignments at DRSD.com again. When done, I think you'll come to the conclusion that I did.

If there's a glimmer of a doubt on authenticity, you should always pass.
This one's an easy pass.

It was on eBay from a company called Sarasota watch company. Saw it in person at the actual brick and motor. When I called to tell him About the dial, he said he sold it to a dealer. It was a "full set" w punched chronometer papers. Hope no one here buys it.
