Dings on case

What are the negatives of buffing out scratches or dings on your rolex?

Depends on the ding. Laser weld may be the way to go! If done properly, it ends up flawless. I personally cannot live with dings.

The amount of metal lost will be minimal for lighter scratches. I got rid of two scratches on the brushed surface of my case with 20 swipes of a scotch write pad.
