What is the most beautiful calatrava ever made?
My choice would be the 3820. The combination of breguet numbers and those beautiful hands (anyone know what they are called?) combined with the lack of a seconds hand makes it for me. Not to mention those gorgeous tear drop lugs.
It is the perfect tux watch with its small size and shiny black croc strap. Whats your favorite calatrava? |

3820 :)
Close second would be the Harrods 3923, only 35 made (36 including sn 0).

He said most beautiful ever made. LOL! 5196P is such a beauty. Would be nice if they offered same dial configuration in Rose and Yellow for modern day 5196s

First one is a limited edition Harrods (35 numbered examples made plus number 00, which was for the museum yet it somehow got shipped to one of my online friends). Had one and liked the gold droplets on the minutes better than the 3939H where PP simply uses black dots. It is a 3923 "Harrods", silver dial, 215 handwind movement and all were rose gold.
More info, when my friend sold 00, is at http://www.archivedauctions.com/s/95...ippe-ref-3923/

Maybe something to look forward to next year. An updated movement and exhibition case back would be nice as well!

To me the authentic Calatrava is synonymous of a small case watch with a hobnail bezel, tried to like them but its not really my style. So yeah all these dress watches that are being posted look so much better
