Does anyone use a flask? I have had a few and used them when golfing rarely. I am wanting to pick one up again for things like xmas, Fourth of July fireworks, golf tournaments, and any other appropriate time like when my wife forces me to church. Really want to use it for something fun and cool, not to be a drunk.

Where do you use your flask and what do you put in it?

you can put whatever you like in it

i use one regularly, but am by no means a drinks connoisseur, usually whisky, jack daniels, rum, or a cheaper cognac

just a stainless steel one for me, apparently other metals (pewter) affect the taste?

personally i carry one daily (yep in the UK we can carry opened alcohol, makes up for the fact we cannot carry something else

), definitely does not make you a drunk, the fact that it limits you to 6oz for the day means quite the opposite!!!

My exes dad bought me a really nice scottish one. Cant remember the brand, still have it in my storage unit. The thing retailed for like 100 or $150 and started leaking after a few months of use. But it was great. I used mine to hold ciroc pretty much exclusively except when I was hunting or fishing and then it was filled with fireball (cheap cinnamon whiskey) just make sure you don't get a multi piece one. When I inquired on getting mine repaired it was free but shipping back to Europe was outrageous.

It was a ltd edition Dalvey, don't buy one of those rofl.

I have a titanium flask from Snow Peak.

Has never leaked and the titanium won't impact the flavour of the whiskey. And yes, it's always whiskey. Most commonly Black Bush but occasionally various Glenmorangie versions. Main use is on hiking trips; nothing better for a quick summit celebration

I have one for vacation, going through Disneyworld requires a little shot every now and again. I have carried bourbon mostly and occasionally rum.

I never tried this at church, wish I did! Lol

I usually put cheap blended whisky in my flask. I can't nose or taste malt properly when drinking for it so just go with stuff that tastes of "whisky". As for when... you name it, I've probably had a flask there; social events, country walks with the dog, enforced church attendance, on the beach and any time I'm wearing my kilt.

If I was ever forced into a church again, it would be with flask in pocket. I'd say buy quality; but no need to buy some treasure flask. Found a list of potentials!

Have one I found at LL Bean's. I've used it a few times but in general it sits on its shelf and collects dust. Nothing special but really have no reason to carry alcohol around with me. There's a nice little bar down the street if I want a drink outside of the house.

I have the Snowpeak titanium, cool idea, but the mouth is so small, hard to fill up, a pain to clean and very slow to pour.

I purchased a pack of 12 glass flasks, cost me under $10, I just throw them out when I'm done. Usually some sort of whiskey in them,
