Hi all,
Just wondering if there's anyone who wears a 24 hours watch. Longines, Tissot, Poljot and more have this particular model and I think is brilliant. What do you think?

I have one, it's actually a pretty nice feature and it does not take time at all to get used to it. If you are into collecting complications or want originality on a watch I think it's a must have.

All my digital clocks read 24 hour time, because it works better for me.

However, on analog clocks and watches, I'm so accustomed to converting the time that that might be annoying.

Fortunately, I'm never in a place where I don't know if the sun is shining or not and if I ever know that I will be, I'll make sure I wear my GMTII.

I do like the looks of that, though, and I could be convinced that I actually need one.

It'd have to much smaller, though--maybe something with a smaller crown.

Hade to laugh because I was talking myself into the "need" as well, until I saw the 47.5 case dimension.

That's correct.

Which one do you have? Sadly this Longines is ENORMOUS for my wrist. I bought few weeks ago a nice 70's Tissot PR516 Navigator with 24 hour dial and 24 hour bezel. One of the simplest ways to have a great travel watch IMO.

Is actually in the Longines website. Here in Europe you can buy it for 2.700€ (+/- 2.900$)

Breitling cosmonaut is the most storied 24 hour watch imo and it is difficult to have this discussion without. Iirc the 24 hr dial was requested by the russian space program. Breitling cosmonaut was I believe the first watch to orbit the planet. I know scott carpenter wore it in 1962 but I recall hearing the russian Yuri G. wore a cosmonaut as well in his orbit.

Thanks for your knowledge. I love to learn everyday. Probably that's why Raketa and Poljot (both Russian) have 24 hour dials since many years ago?🤔
