5131R & 5575G Photoshoot
Recently had a get together over coffee with a fellow Patek owner. Took a few pictures of his 5131R and 5575G alongside my own 5131R.
Quite astounding how different the 5131R's are from each other. Mine is a 2015 model and his a 2016 version so the city rings differ. Aside from the actual words and the huge variation in the cloisonné enamel itself there are also quite a few other differences - care to play spot the differences? |

Tough call between the 5575 and 5131. Just so difficult to read the 5575

To be fair to the 5575G, the angle of the edges on the hands prevents my limited photographic skills capturing them fully. I had no trouble reading the time in everyday use.

Just stunning watches... thank you for posting them in detail!
At first glance I see: 1. The gold dots at 3/6/9/12 are slightly larger on the 2015 version 2. The red triangle on the city wheel is larger than the black triangles on the 2015 version, whereas the black and red triangles are uniform size on the 2016 version. The black triangles on the 2016 version are all larger too. |

I love both of them. Do you know if the moon phase on the 5575 or in pateks general moves continuously or does it "tick"?
Also spotting differences between the 5131s, I can see the effects of global warming on the dials :( |

Gold pins are larger on 2015 version and city triangles have indeed all been made a uniform size on 2016 version. Yes, outer cities wording on 2015 model is on a much larger circumference of circle. Very noticeable when overlaying the watches in photoshop. At least one difference to find, quite subtle and maybe too tricky? |

All three are spectacular! The 5131 is one watch I would love to have in addition to the 5575.

Only comparing the 5131 models. The 5575 seems to have the same city dics as the 2015 model 5131
Following cities moved to outer ring: Paris, Karachi, Bangkok, Tokyo, Denver, Anchorage, NY, Azores Following cities moved to inner ring: London, Cairo, Dhaka, HongKong, Hawaii, LA, Mexico, La Paz Moscow has moved further away from the 3 position Brisbane replaced Noumea Sydney moved closer to the 6 position Marshall replaced Midway Auckland moved further left from the 6 position Ryadh replaced by Dubai Rio replaced by Buenos Aires S. Georgia replaced by Sao Paolo The colors seem a bit more bland on the later version? |

Excellent shots. Thanks a lot. Funny how the colors on the first two a different - some places are green on one and yellow on the other. Just goes to show how unique they are. :)

Interesting to see how different and stylized the 5131s are as to colors and shapes. I never thought I could say this about any 5131, but I'd be very happy with one of the pictured and not so happy with the other. But I don't have to worry about ever being thrilled or disappointed anyway.

Great shot by the way mate, love them. Here is mine with real Global warming which has melted the snow away.. I find the 2016 city ring too crowded and prefer the more spacious 2015 one.. |

Completely makes sense that there would be a new version...loving my 5930 so much so makes sense to base a new enamel on it or hopefully discontinue enamel all together so mine goes up in value hahahahaha
