A queston for Carlos (Porter)............................

What is and from where is the best way to fly to Ibiza from the Spanish mainland?

A friend of mine in Florida wants to go there in the beginning of the year to look for a house and wants me to tag along.

Hi,
Depending on the season of the year but normally from Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia. (By plane)
Barcelona, Valencia and Denia have wonderful boats to Ibiza. Two different tickets: fast boats (2-3 hours) or ferries (6-8 hours) companies: Balearia or Trasmediterranea.
Sometimes are cheaper only flight tickets and sometimes is better combination plane/boat.
Hope this helps!! Contact by PM at any moment.

Thanks Carlos.

This will probably be Jan or Feb so I guess it will be by plane.

I have to do a stop over anyway as there are no direct flights from here so it makes it a long boring trip.

I can fly easily to any mainland city so I figure I can spend a day or two in Barcelona or Valencia instead of 8-10 Hr's in a boring terminal.

The house your friend want to buy is in Ibiza?

No, I'm not but the best houses in Ibiza are not offered to a real state. Commissions are very high and a lot of pirates are taking profit with foreigners.
If he is interested in a house offered through a real state I know the honest ones. I don't mind to help your friend if he is interested in.
My family is in Ibiza since 1948. My grand father and my father, both architects. I'm the black sheep, engineer! Hahaha
What kind of house is looking for?
