New Datejust 36 want to buy a strap

Hi,

So I'm think I'm sending my DJ 16233 bracelet to Michael Young to get repaired. I want my girlfriend to wear it and thinking while my bracelet is getting repaired id get a leather strap for it and put it on.

My question is what is the proper lug size strap do i need for this watch? Also what color strap do you think would look best. Its a two-tone DJ so that does play into it.

Lastly, what are some inexpensive but good strap companies that make the correct size to fit this particular lug size.

Thank you

Yeah it's a really nice dial. It's called Pyramid dial.

20mm is your size.

Everest recently came up with the integrated lug strap and they look pretty good.

I'm not a fan of strap/case gap but on DJs it looks good. Hodinkee has nice straps, also Bulang & Sons - I'd go with a Tan or Black Croc.

Inexpensive is subjective but there's a start.

Look at artisan strap company. Deluca is another one I like. Combat straps are neat.

I have two deluca straps. Really like them. I was thinking something a little less expensive.

Just watch out for the really cheap stuff as the buckles are usually junk and on a two piece strap any single part failure= lost Watch head.

What are you looking to spend?

Try Hodinkee, Bandrbands.com, strapped for time.

Cheap straps are just that. IMO.

You don't need endlinks.

Hirsch is good. I would also recommend checking out Colareb. I just got one from them today, really impressed so far
