Saddleback Briefcase Tobacco or Chestnut?
I'm thinking Large Classic in Chestnut but Tobacco looks good too. Does either color tend to age better than the other?
Are there any differences other than size between medium, large, and X-Large with regards to features that anyone knows of.

I love chestnut. I have a large thin breifcase and several smaller items in that color.
Just started using them so I can't speak on how it's aging. |

I have an ID wallet from him that I believe was dark coffee, the color hasn't really changed in 3-4 years of daily wear.
I just got a passport sleeve but haven't used it at all so can't say as to the color changing. Great, well made stuff. Just one thing to keep in mind Dan, I've read that his larger bags can be quite heavy. I think that there's some reviews on that other forum that you and I visit. (Pointy things,,,)

Currently that's where I'm leaning.

I have the large backpack in dark coffee brown ...picked it up in February and still not much of a change...the edges are starting to show a little character etc.....I can see where it will take many years to truly show any wear
This pencil wrap I pulled off eBay has been a tremendous help with mechanical pencils, lead, business cards etc....its the perfect companion for my saddleback http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rustic-GENUI...3D281824700459 |

I have a Tobacco briefcase and a few other pieces in that color. My wife has a DCB briefcase, a black tote, and just got a Chestnut purse. So we have all the colors in our house. The Tobacco and black items are the old style colors which I prefer.
If I was starting over I'd buy all my pieces in Chestnut. I like it a lot. My opinion only.

Thanks Jason. When I first considered getting one a while back I always figured it would be chestnut and at this point I'm thinking that's still the way to go.

Very nice and I might have to seriously consider that leather pencil wrap.

I have a large dark coffee brown (dcb) large brief case. I use that as my personal carry-on and it barely fit under the seat, XL will definitely not fit there. If you consider a medium, a 15" laptop will not fit in a medium. I like the darker color briefcase for the office, I have a small tobacco briefcase and it is little bit too casual for me to use in my office setting. I have the dcb large for more than two years now and it starts breaking in nicely. The large is heavy if you load it up.

Thanks for the input guys. This was actually to be a Christmas gift from the wife and at the time I thought it might be time to get that Saddleback briefcase I had always thought of getting.
As it turns out however the weather has been awful cold here lately and I thought it might be more practical for now if I were to get that Canada Goose Expedition Parka instead.

I've had my chestnut XL briefcase for over four years and I love it. At the time that I ordered it, the tobacco color was different and I didn't care for it. I've seen the new tobacco leather which I like but I would still go with chestnut.

I've been considering chestnut for a while, but heard the bags are very heavy. Would love your thoughts after it arrives...

i've got a thin medium in chestnut and love it! its a bit heavy but the quality is exceptional!
i've got a 13" laptop and it fits that and all my bits comfortably... and the option of using it as a backpack is brilliant as i ride a motorbike to work daily and its better then slinging it on my side while riding

I've got one of their portfolios. Haven't used it much, so it's got a few scratches, but not real wear yet.

I would go chestnut. I have a tobacco in large and I really like it and it wears in well. Just like that reddish color the chestnut has. Mine was a gift so I did not chose the color.
