Help identify this vintage Tiffany piece

Does anyone know what this is?

Tiffany did not make there own watches.
Would need to see the movement.
Big question, there appears to be a button or slide on the left side of the watch.
Try sliding it down to see if it chimes.
If so, you hit a jackpot.

It chimes and still works. The numbers on the dial look like AP

Left side shots. Keeps time and the chime makes the right sounds corresponding to the time. The button slides without any issues or encumbrance. Have no way of opening it (no appropriate tools).

Just took a look at this fantastic book that Tiffany gave me yesterday. It doesn't show the exact model, but the movement might be a top notch one (even Patek or AP, although I suspect that if PP then it would say so in the dial as others do). In any case, it looks fantastic! Congrats

That is a repeater.
I would take it to a watchmaker to have him open.
You are talking serious money now.
An old Tiffany watch may not be a big deal.
But an old repeater wristwatch always is.

A no-name you are talking 5 digit money.
An Audemars or Patek, 6 digits.

I have always been told to never turn the hands counter clockwise with repeaters.

There are minuter repeaters, 5 minute repeaters and quarter repeaters. The ones that chime down to the minute are the most expensive.

It's a 5 minute Repeater. (8 chimes for 40 past)
