Rolex and Fitness Tracker
Ok. Am I the only one that wears both my watch and my Fitbit at the same time? The new Fitbit Charge 2 has a bigger display than the previous one which makes it stand out more. I try to tuck the Fitbit under my sleeve, but nothing to hide with short sleeves.

I've seen a few people here and there have one on either wrist. But then again, even if you are the only person in the world who does it who cares? It looks great

Me always, wear the Rolex on my left wrist and Flex II on my right. Switch off the Rolex for swimming to wear my Garmin Swim. Fitbit is pretty much always on my wrist. No need for redundant time and the Flex II has the best water resistance of the bunch.

I prefer the Jawbone UP Move. Discretely hidden on my belt and I've found it far more accurate than trackers worn on the wrist (including Fitbit, Jawbone, and Basis).

I think it LOOKS fine. The fitbit is relatively small and discreet. I think it is designed very well.

No, you're not the only one.
I did switch to the Alta last year, though, as I thought the Charge looked too "watch-ish" on the other hand. |

I would have preferred the Fitbit Alta as it is a more discreet fitness tracker but I got the Charge 2 because of the HR function and the Multi Sport function. It's pretty good to have something to track my activities/sleep/food/water as I can gauge what I am doing to my body for my new year's resolution to lead an overall fitter life. However, the readings are only estimations and sometimes I think they kinda give out inaccurate readings. For example, on Day 3, I did a Spin Class for 45 minutes and it showed calories burnt 450 kCal. On Day 4, I did the same Spin Class routine also for 45 mins but it showed 200 kCal burnt. |

Fitbit Charge 2 on right, Rolex on left. Works great. Added a RoadId on the Fitbit band in case I croak out while running/biking.

I use the Flex 2, its small you can swim with it and you use the FB App to read the stats. You can set reminders for movement and to alert you to incoming calls or texts etc. etc. It doesn't have heart rate monitor if that is an issue, for me its not as I just use the FB to count steps and monitor sleep. When I need to train with a heart rate monitor I use a Garmin. The FBit 1 is also handy as you just clip it in your pocket and it does have a display, I just kept forgetting to move it from say my jeans to my gym shirts. Here is the Flex 2.

My Charge 2 will arrive by USPS tomorrow and I will wear it on my right wrist with one of my watches on my left wrist, unless I decide not to wear a watch for some reason, then I'll switch the Charge 2 to my left wrist.
It is a very rare occasion that I don't wear a watch, however. I'll post a picture to this thread when it arrives.

Used to wear a jawbone UP3 (loved it) on my right. Rolex on my left. Then after wearing the JB religiously for 6 months, took it off to charge and never put it back on. I know what 10ku steps are and how I sleep and what calories I burn. Passé for me.

I do - Rolex left wrist and Garmin vivofit2 on right - never take off either. I picked the Garmin because you don't have to charge it. The battery lasts over a year and it's waterproof as well.

Fitbit and similar devices show only estimates and usually error is approximately 30-35%. That's why when I am doing various sports activities I use Suunto Ambit2, which is wonderful sports computer. After workout i download everything to movescount.com, which is could based program. For further analysis i use Firstbeat Athlete specialized software which automatically uploads data from movescount. From the first sight it seems a bit complicated but i get accurate reaqdings as well as digital trainer recomendations on my activities.

It strikes me a little like wearing a belt and suspenders at the same time. Whatever elegance a Rolex brings to the ensemble is counteracted by the gizmo on the opposite wrist. From a purely aesthetic point of view it just seems busy.
But I'm not young or cool or handsome so it doesn't matter what I think. The world was full of healthy people who knew what time it was before the advent of the fitness tracker and it turned just fine. I'm one of those that thinks that more connectivity doesn't make the world a better place, it just makes it a busier. For me that isn't an improvement. Carry on. |

Some of us are just data freaks, as well as gadget freaks, and that's all we need as justification.

HAHA! I’ve worn my BLNR with an Apple Watch on my right wrist a few times! I stopped doing it because I felt like a dork. I must say that it is pretty damn useful, just not as nice to look at. I now only wear it while doing exercise or going for a jog.
Buzz is such a badass that he has earned the right to get away with pretty much anything!

I wear a Garmin golf watch on the days I play that also has a basic step counter. It’s actually pretty cool to see all the numbers and I see the appeal, especially for a data geek like myself. But I don’t think I would purchase a dedicated fitness tracker as I don’t think they really contribute to an individual’s fitness so much as illuminate what they’ve done.
