Bit VERY hard by the Rolex bug

I sit here on a Sunday afternoon only two weeks after buying my first rolex, a GMT ref 16700 and I already find myself looking for the next one. I just sold my Tudor BB and my winter beater car so that should justify this right? Or am I totally crazy

How soon after buying your first were you looking for the next one?

Here's a pic of my first love for your viewing pleasure

I feel your pain. I got my first (a BLNR) just before new years, and I've now got a Sub Hulk and a Pepsi GMT on the way.

It happens to us all.

I bought my first Rolex - '98 Datejust in October '16 - and just 3 weeks later I decided I needed an all-rounder, and bought a new GMT2c!

I've been looking for a 3rd ever since ha

Two weeks is a pretty short time to start lusting for another one. I usually go 6 months to a year. That's a pretty nice pepsi GMT you have and worthy of much wrist time and enjoyment. Wouldn't rush into another purchase yet IMHO. And yes, there will always be temptations no matter how many Grails you acquire through the years. Good luck and Cheers!

I started planning my second purchase within a week of buying my first Rolex. I sold one and only have two at the moment but planning my next one now. Decided I need to get a new Rolex every year so that how my collection is going to shape up going forward.

It never stops.
Once you buy your second one, you'll be looking into your 3rd.
The story is the same for 75% of the people on here.

This is very valid and yeah I usually only wear one watch all the time. I don't really cycle through the few watches I own. I guess I can't stop looking and scheming. I spend a ton of time in the summer on the water which is why I think I'm already looking at subs

My shopping is three watches down the line when I pick up the current.
I limit myself to 2 watches a year rain or shine.

I just bought one last week and have been messaging all day chasing after another one. I'm trying to get a really good almost impossible deal so hopefully it won't happen, as I like to space out my buys and be a "reasonable" addict.

Stop and enjoy the watch. If it is just the thrill of aquisition there are cheaper toys.

Beautiful 16700 you have there! I suppose you need to stay of this forum for a while as you're not going to get the help you need here

Yep, that's the "New Watch Fever" that you've fallen victim to. It hits you hard as soon as you get a new watch, but it slowly fades away over the course of a few weeks or months.

If you can ride it out until it passes, you'll be good to go. If not...hang on to your wallet and enjoy the ride!

On a different tack, you've got a 16700 (which I've also got). You might pick up both the black and coke inserts as well as a jubilee bracelet so you can switch it up some.
