FS: Rare 60's Gruen Precision "Fathoms" Diver

For your consideration we have an extremely rare 60's Gruen Precision "Fathoms" diver.

Dial: Super rare original "swiss" only glossy dial with closed gilt chapter ring (Light marks)

Hands: Original Gruen hands

Bezel: Original rotating black bezel

Case-back: Original Gruen stamped case-back

Size: 38mm

Bracelet: Used vintage leather strap

Movement: 17 Jewel 730 SS Gruen signed automatic

No box or papers, service history unknown. Watch is currently winding smooth, and running well.


Notes: We have an extremely rare 60's Gruen vintage diver. With a very similar look to the rare Ocean Chief 560rss this one is equally beautiful and arguably rarer as you see these far less often. This example features a rare "swiss" only at the bottom of the gilt gloss dial and the lume application is reverse compared to the standard dial. Gruen really hit a home run with this dial design and of course its signature double leaf hands is what really makes this watch so recognizable. Add a great case design with its original lines clearly still visible makes for one awesome vintage diver. Be hard pressed to ever see this watch for sale.
