Best nib grind for printing

Hey all, I plan to order myself another Nakaya within the next day or so. I have a couple others so I want to get something that I will use primarily or exclusively to use while printing (no cursive). I'm wondering what nib grind or mod would be the best to spice up some print. Something with some line variation, maybe?

I was thinking a stub or I'm pretty intrigued by the "Architect" grind by John at CFP. I was also thinking of going with the soft medium from Nakaya to introduce some spring and I could add some line variation on demand.

Any recommendations?

I have Nakayas with both the cursive italic and stub grind from John as well as a stock music nib on a Piccolo. Here are some writing samples (printed) from those three nibs.

Thanks for the writing samples, Jar. Out of those three I have to say the db stub really gets my attention. I like the idea of the music nib, but I think it might be a bit too broad for my print size. That was the one I was originally leaning towards.

As far as the architect nib, it has has narrow vertical strokes and broad cross strokes. So total opposite of the stub. Trying to picture how that would work with my writing style.

I have and I did. I have three pens with Music nibs and a brazillion pens with stub nibs. The Nakaya double broad nib stubbed by John is simply wonderful.

I think I'm going to go for the stub. 0.7mm will be my requested size.

The Nakata bouble broad stub is wide enough to take any kind of modification kindly. The music nib (from Platinum which is what I have) is a bit too much.

I went with a 0.7mm stub. Just placed my order. Going in a Kuro-Tamenuri portable writer with pink gold clip and nib.

I would go the stub! Typically they are perfect from a wet ink perspective and they are incredible writers.

I have several and have never been disappointed. And should you be it is a $48 dollar problem to have a nibmeister work on it.
