anyone lost money last night on Atlanta chokers

I admit I lost money on those chokers. Atlanta broke all kinds of records in NFL, it was just unbelievable.

The ATL D line was gassed. They didn't have enough left in the tank at the end to pressure Brady. No pressure is exactly where Brady excels.

I knew Atlanta was in trouble when late in the second quarter I heard the Falcons fans singing "na-na-na-na, na-na-na-nah, hey-hey-hey, goodbye..

I had 100 on Atlanta only because I was rooting for them either way. I'm too biased to be a gambler lol

ATL D was on the field almost the entire game. At least that's how it felt. Matt Ryan lost the game. Pure and simple

This...roughly 100 offensive plays for NE to 45 for ATL.

Broke even. Won the over lost the ATL and 3 points.
Still cannot believe they didn't run the ball more to burn clock and reduce risk of turnovers and negative plays. Some of the worst game management I have ever seen.
Not taking anything away from the Pats. They are the best because they figure out a way to win and make the plays to do so.

win or lose in the short term, long term if you bet sports you hate money! the occasional bet for fun is fine, anything more is a grudge against happiness, JMHO

Although it looked that way, I don't think pro football players "give up" in a superbowl. They got exhausted. The pats' physical conditioning was better IMO

I remember when donovan mcnabb got exhausted in superbowl 39 against the Pats. It happens.

I hope the guy who put $1.1M on ATL plus the 3 points hedged at halftime by putting a good chunk of money down on NE. Perfect middle opportunity if ATL had held on for the win.

Horrific play calling by ATL coaches in 2nd half. And Matty Ice made some mistakes to compound the bad play calling.

This is the first time in forever that I had zero money on a SB, either in straight bets or pools. Actually enjoyed the lack of tension, and I didn't need to have 100% focus on the game.

Secondary players spend more energy chasing down offensive players and making tackles. NE had more than doubled ATL's on offensive plays. No defense can condition for that. If ATL could have scored just 1 point, no matter what NE did, the game's over.

NE caught Atlanta in a rope-a-dope to deal with their speed...

It was a risky move, but it worked as the Falcons did indeed sputter and were so gassed that even Brady Quinn could have sliced them up.

No, before the defense was gassed, Atlanta's play-calling did them in. Up 28-3 and they ran a total of six more times during the game??

I don't like the Patriots, but I would never bet against them. Heck at the end of the half when I heard how far behind they were, I thought it might sound bad but I wouldn't ever bet against the Patriots.

To be fair, they only had 16 offensive plays in that span. And the Pats had already adjusted and were effective against the run. If Ryan didn't take a couple sacks the outcome would have been different. That's not game management, that's QB play.

they got out coached. you dont call plays that require a 5 step drop back in field goal range with that amount of time up 8 points. any 10 year old playing madden knows that. when you are up you run the ball. you take the full clock and dont leave 10 seconds on the play clock. you make adjustments. ATLs coaches never adjusted.

of course the kicker could have missed a 40 yarder.

Atlanta stopped bringing pressure on the QB and that allowed brady to settle in. all NE did was make ATL punch drunk with rope a dope. TOP and # of plays tell the story. i feel bad for aaron rogers, if GB had been in it they win easily because NE never faced a top 10 QB all year until the super bowl and when they did they got crapped on.
