Acceptable results for Non-COSC Rolex
I just became the second owner on a Z-serial Sub 14060M (non-COSC). I've timed it over the past week and it is running about +6 sec per day. Even for a non-COSC Rolex movement that seems a little fast to me.
What do you all think, and those of you who have this same model, what kind of rates do you get? Keep in mind I'm spoiled by my GMT Master II that averages about +1 per day--so maybe I'm just expecting too much. I'm not sure if its worth opening the back for adjustments.

Well you have a 2 year warranty, and if you are near a Rolex Service Centre they will adjust the watch for you without any trouble. There is no reason your Sub cannot run as truely as your GMT
It's really entirely up to you. COSC specifications are -4 seconds to +6 seconds per day so it is on the outside limit of its daily specification.

I'd get it regulated...
My ND Sub (14060M) was running way too fast at about + 10 seconds per day.
I tracked it's time keeping over 10 days to work out how it was going for my usual wearing habits. I provided this to Rolex and now it's running +/-0 seconds per day. If you're going to the trouble of having it regulated I'd highly recommend ducumenting it's daily time keeping over 10 days. This is the only way the magicians at Rolex can regulate your watch to your wearing habits. It's absolutely worth it in the end. Good luck! Chris |
