Show Rolex The $$$$!!!

I was told by a pretty good source that Rolex in Geneva does Custom Watches.
I am not sure if you can have them make say a Platinum Daytona ; or if for the right $ and status you can design your day date or womens president with your own stone combo. And what about the dials?

I also understand that this pretty much only available to high profile figures such as Shaws, Heads of State, Royality.

Any one else have any idea on this?

Never heard that, but I only have a US viewpoint. I am interested in seeing where this thread goes.

There was a post on timezone where a poster who lived in Switzerland claimed that his dad had some "connections" with Rolex corporate and had a custom 16600 SD dial made with red writing, to make it a DRSD. His post was seriously questioned, but his watches all seemed legit. He had some amazing pieces, so I guess anything is possible.

Has to be correct. Where else would Saddam Hussein have got that awful blinged out Day Date from ? It was certainly not a production model

Well, if it ever went up for auction, I bet those "connections" would be gone! But if it was a confirmed authentic dial, it would fetch a pretty penny!

If you have enough money, anything would be possible.
Why not? Rolex are a business at the end of the day.

The way some of them turn out I'd like to think it wasn't a Rolex design idea.

Rolex will make anything custom made as will PP who have made a mickey mouse watch in the past. I know friends here in the Uk who have have had subs with red writing done as one of jobs.

that surely would be interesting. I wonder how much that will cost and how that would affect the value of the watch in the long run

Yeah, I have a customer who showed me a masterpiece that was a custom from the normal production... It only takes money and the right connections.

If you have enough $$$$$$ or are a "power" person, Rolex would probably send someone over to change the date for you when the month has fewer than 31 days. (Milgauss, Daytona and some other models are not included in this offer.)
