Best watch for under 4K?

If you had a 4,000$ spending limit for a watch, what would you pick?

Get an Omega Speedmaster Professional moonwatch from a reputable grey market dealer like Jomashop or Amazon.

Blue Tudor Pelagos

Great watch for around $4k - for a Rolex with a similar blue color dial, it would be $25k or more.

A new Breitling Colt can be had for a bit over $3k. With a blue dial, I like it.

Omega Speedmaster or Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial if the budget is $4K.

I would not consider a Rolex until the budget could be stretched to $6-$6.5K, in which case I would choose an Explorer I or a 114060 Submariner.

If you can do used the world is your Oyster. Heck a Milly on the secondary market probably trades at around that price. If new: Grand Seiko.

If we are talking about one watch for a normal active guy and call it a day.
Date, automatic movement, versatility, ease of service and availability are important.

Within $4000:
Seiko MM300 SBDX017, then pocket the change.
IWC Mark XVIII Petite Prince (leather strap)
Omega Seamaster Planet ocean (Bracelet)

IMO I don't suggest going for any $4000 used Rolex.

If you are young, buy a $30 watch and invest the rest in an aggressive mutual fund. You will have both the correct time and watch your money compound over the years.
