Rolex AD in Hong Kong airport

Will be transiting via HK, enroute to Singapore, in the next few months. Any Rolex AD within the airport? Am looking at GMT 2c SS or Daytona SS. You think they will have stock?

I don't think there is a Rolex AD in the airport. I was just there 2 weeks ago. They had a Omega AD, and another AD that sells (if I remember correctly, don't count on it 100%) VC, Frank Muller, IWC, etc. The duty-free stores sells brands like Tag Heuer, Hamilton, Gucci, Rado, Tissot, etc.

I was looking for an Rolex AD myself and gave up after trolling around for 45min....

Its going to be tough finding these 2 models with ready stock in Singapore and even if u do, be prepared to pay a premium over retail pricing (though the 7% GST rebate should soften things a little). There are Rolex ADs in Hong Kong but none inside HK Airport.

Correct, I was there 2 weeks ago, and one of the most beautiful and well designed airports in the world, but no AD. There are some watch shops, but Rolex is not available.

It wouldnt really benefit a visitor from purchasing a Rolex at the HK airport, even if there is actually a Rolex AD there. Most items in HK are duty free, there's no VAT or GST in HK => U get $0 for tax refund. In addition, some Rolex models in HK are being sold above retail pricing. Even if u do get a discount, its pegged at 8% and not a dime more.

yeah.. so far no one would really get any financial benifits from buying Rolex in HK airport non-existing AD since it is tax free government anyway. Even thought Hong Kong authority has considered to add 3% retail tax but I do not know it is the future. Beside everytime you have to visit ur ad you have to kinda take flight from HK.

You cant just pop down to to visit that airport AD as ur local. Alright lets say it takes a 2 hours drive for visit mine but at least it wont require a boarding pass to Moscow or somewhere.

Besides the models you are looking are really really hard to find. You might get a better chance for getting the GMT but Daytona, I bet before you see daytona to be put into the glass display there already will be 50 people who got cash in any currency and ready to shove em up the dealer's asehhh.. cashier. :-D

If you are visiting UK. Pay a visit to Heathrow Airport ADs at T3, T4 and T5. The prices here are really competitive and we are talking about at a 0% discount level.
