A new Rolex for the Wife

Some 3 or 4 years ago I bought my Wife a Rolex Datejust with white gold bezel and jubilee bracelet which she likes very much.
Apologies for the quality of the pic!
However, she has mentioned that during the day time in particular, she has noticed that the ladies tend to wear somewhat larger watches than hers.
Having spoken about this perhaps more than once or twice I feel it time to buy her another Rolex.
My problem is which one? I would much appreciate if anyone has an idea which in their experience or opinion would be a good choice.
Obviously I am not suggesting a Deepsea or even a Submariner or Explorer as I don't really this type of Rolex would be really suitable for her.
I have a SubC with date plus ExpMk1 with which she has shown no interest.
Any ideas?

Daytona? "Smaller" than a sub but will have a greater presence compaired to her Datejust.

If it's not a surprise for her, take your wife to the AD and let her pick the one she likes.

How about a 36mm Datejust? Or possibly a 39mm Oyster Perpetual with a nice color dial?

31 or 36mm DJ would probably be what she has in mind. I would absolutely get her involved in the process!!

Probably best to ask her although I bought my wife a mid sized Platinum Dial YM (35mm) as a surprise and she absolutely loves it. I don't think they still do this model as it has been updated to the 37mm Rhodium Dial. She has also said loves the now Rose Gold TT in 40mm or the Rose Gold on the Oysterflex in either size.

How about one of the Yachtmasters? My wife has the 35mm but if she wants larger, get her the 40mm.
By the way, that's my arm with the 40mm. ;)

Got my wife this for Christmas...we have been well pleased with it.

At 36mm, it fits in nicely with the larger watches women are wearing today, without getting too cumbersome.

Larry's suggestion above would be perfect I think. Lovely size and colour but nicely understated for day wear and keep the 26mm for evening attire.

That is wonderful! Have you also explored the Rolex website for ideas? I also agree about letting her choose.... very exciting!

Options:
at bottom of page ... select size, features, etc.

As others suggested. Take her to try some on and see what she likes. My wife chose a RG TT 36mm DJ with white diamond dial. I would have picked a 31mm with one of the floral patterns which she did not like...

Good luck on the hunt.

Many thanks for all your comments and suggestions!
Some kindly suggested: discuss with the Wife. Am sure she would say: No!
It would have to be enforced, say a birthday present.
When I bought the datejust it was a surprise Christmas present. I was on tenterhooks!
She loves it! Phew!
The SS & platinum small 37mm yacht master is a good possibility, but am still browsing the Rolex UK website! Cheers!

This is my wife's 35mm YM and my watch as well. She really likes it but it is a bit of a struggle to see sometimes. That's why I have the blue dialed YM.

Sounds like the two of you need to take a field trip to the nearest Rolex dealer.

My ladies' Yachtmaster is now 16 years old. It is 29 mm, and I know that the style now is towards larger watches. So, I've tried on my husband's Sub and GMT to see how they look. The 40 mm, for me, is definitely too big (I'm 5'8" so not a petite gal) although I know there are many women on this forum who love that size.

For me, I like the proportion of my watch's face and lugs on my wrist. Fit and size is very personal. It may be that your wife would like, and would look better in, a larger size Rolex. My mother-in-law's classic (35 + years old) DateJust is way too small for my wrist, and the face is hard to see. If I wore that every day, I would be interested in a larger watch as well.

If the 40 mm looked good on me I would take my husband's Pepsi GMT. Or, I'd go modern and get the right BLNR GMT. I guess you can tell I'm a sports watch fan.

Happy shopping!
