Got the OK from Giovanni and was forced to buy this one

All jokes aside, I do see why everyone loves the IIC now (yes, I even like the polished links). Price was fair for a preowned, and the transaction was flawless. The bad news? In a few months, this or my 16710 is going up for sale. There's no way to rationalize having this many watches in college.

Bingo, and thanks. The 16710 is an M, the ceramic is a late Z.

I overstretched my budget with the SS Daytona and the IIC in the past month (neither was a planned purchase so I've had to flip one GMT so far). I'm not in debt thankfully, but I don't think it's really prudent to keep my accounts so low.

I'm quite envious. In college I ate ramen and drank cool aid for 4 years.

Starving college student? Overstretched my budget? What kind of moon-lighting are you doing to afford these types of watches - drug dealer? I remember being thrilled to be able to afford a fast food dinner and $ for at least 5 beers at the local bar on Saturdays...I couldn't dream of owing a Rolex, let alone multiple watches back when I was a real 'starving student'. Hell, my POS car was worth less than the Daytona's bracelet.

Interested to hear you like the polished centre links - they are probably not as noticable in the flesh as they appear to be in Rolex publicity shots.

Be nice. I think I was even more poor than you when I was at CSULB, as beers at the bar would have killed my food budget. I envied those who could go down to Second Street on the weekends. Thank God for Trader Joe's (that was back when it was still located by the movie theater on PCH) which allowed me to eat decent food at a good price.

If you must know, current consultant and private tutor (+student), with some extra stuff on the side (legal). Last full-time was as a project engineer at a bay area biotech firm.
