Most expensive used BLNR ever?

Just spotted this used BLNR...£8,500

Behind it, a 16610LV for £7,950

Never a shock to see appalling prices at pre-owned dealers but these prices were particularly shocking.

That is particularly high. I think it will be in the window for some time to come.

Can't believe someone would ever pay that madness...

They maybe hard to locate in London (not sure about up North) but out of the city they can be had, I had a call on one last Friday (gutted as I thought it was a Daytona call)

£2K over retail for a used one is just ludicrous, probably telling customers a horrible garish red one is replacing this next week so get it while you can!

Well some pay crazy prices for the Daytona C,asking price is a lot different to the selling price.

What is a reasonable asking price for a used BLNR? I have access to one BNIB for ~$8000... Is the savings worth it to buy used?

Its a "luxury" product, so "worth" takes a backseat to "available"

Worse to me is that Central London dealers, including Rolex at One Hyde Park, actively fuel this process.

I was recently asking after a RG YM on rubber, only to get the usual air sucked through teeth..... they may as well point you to the "greys"

Window price is hopefully not what a customer will pay. I got my Rolex at approx 30% off the ticket price for cash, in the North of England, independent jewellers.

What do you mean sorry?

This is a second hand dealer but may be a "BNIB" watch, but £2k more than a brand new one from an AD. You can still see stickers but cannot comment as to condition.

Granted they're hard to source new but I just though the £8,500 was taking the pi$$.

For those wondering, it's the Chisholm Hunter used branch in Argyll Arcade Glasgow (old WOS shop).

Thats the haggle price unless some "cash-chucker" walks in for a impulse purchase.

the store could play the tax refund card to someone who was unaware they could get this

this brings the price down to $8600 for a foreigner add a 5-10% discount or so to show how generous the salesman is and hes got a sale

I don't think a tax refund is available on a 2nd hand watch. I may be wrong...pretty sure the retailer will pay VAT on the margin but the watch itself won't be eligible for refund of tax.
