Rolex' baby brother's all grown up
Since I slimmed down my collection, I suddenly realized that I no longer had a modern stainless steel wrist watch. Flipped my 114060 for an 116613LB because I couldn't resist the contrasting blue, SS and gold. Said goodbye to my 214270 because it felt more like a dress watch than the tool watch I wanted it to be. With that in mind, I decided to pick up it's buffed up Tudor brother. (I usually refer to my wristwatches using feminine pronouns but there's no denying that this one is as masculine as it gets) Here he is, sized and ready for the outdoors.

Right attractive watch. Especially like the straight end bracelet.

I didn't plan on it, but getting this, this morning made me want to go on a long hike. So I did a 10/12 mile loop up LA's Mt. Zion. It was nice to finally see the rivers and waterfalls with actual flowing water. Definitely wasn't that way just last summer.

I usually don't like unevenly glowing lume since that usually means the hands have a different shade from the markers during daylight. (i.e. Seiko SKX) however, Tudor has achieved it while keeping the hands and the markers at exactly the same shade in the light.

Congratulations. I have owned the Ranger several times and have enjoyed it. For what it is there are not many watches that offer more in my opinion. I hope to see the In-house movement in Basel 17 and I will own one again.
