What's a good AD?

Good discounts, nice store, water when you walk in?

Polacheck's in Calabasas has some very knowledgeable reps. Haven't bought there, but visit when I am in town. (I realize this may be far afield of your location).

Apparently the grey market sellers in DTLA are the way to go.

Philippes in Beverly Hills has a good selection. They are not an AD. But are around the corner from Geary's who are a Rolex dealer. I picked up a 16610 LV from Philippe last week.

Gearys on Rodeo in BH has great selection. Great place to try pieces on but probably not a good place to buy though.

Be careful with the DTLA shops - if you are not careful that's a good way to end up with a franken watch. Def reputable sellers in DTLA, but do your homework.

I went by Phillipes a couple weks ago for the first time and I was actually was not impressed with their selection at all. Not much of interest.

How is the pricing of Philippes? I see they have a 15400OR on their site for $28,5000, but you can get this watch for 21-22k all day long. Is there a Beverly Hills tax due to location/clientele?

Excellent point!

A good AD for some could mean largest selection in stock.
Lowest OTD price.
or best looking salespeople.
etc etc

Polacheck's in Calabasas, Rolex AD

May be able to give you a good discount not a huge chain store.

Got my Daytona at South Coast. They were friendly and respectful to me as a 28yo walk-in, which happened just after the Omega store gave me guff for wanting to try on a watch. Happy Hunting!

South Coast is a nice store but at best it's equal to Geary's in inventory. I would give Geary's in BH the edge though. And again, I don't think either are going to discount much. But good places to try watches on and research.

If you really want a discount. Buying on the forums is the best bet. Downtown LA could be good also. I have a watch dealer downtown. If you PM Me i can give you his info. He pretty much has everything Rolex. Let me know what you want to look at and ill text him telling him you're a friend.

There's many and I haven't personally bought from any of them. I do have an acquaintance who regularly gets watches from this guy (name and number below) and he seems happy with him. But I can't personally vouch for him. There hundreds of them on Hill St downtown right by Pershing Square. Many in the same building.

Kia 310-489-3825

I don't have his address or website handy, but that's his name and number.

Just got back from Rodeo. Geary's staff was incredibly helpful and very polite. Philippes? Complete opposite. I haven't had service that bad from a watch store in... ever.

I have been doing business with Philippes for last 5-6 years. Always been great to deal with. Not an AD experience but a small family business. I have sourced 4-5 watches and always been happy. Maybe I have just been lucky.

Don't know DTLA that well for watches I tried but never felt comfortable.

Are any Los Angeles ADs actually conducting business during the COVID-19 shutdown?

Not that I know. All watch shops in LA closed. Maybe some are doing some deals and shipping with certain clients but I haven't heard of any. I texted my guy at an AD a couple days after shut down and he didn't seem interested in any commerce.

My only recommendation is to stay away from Bhindi in Cerritos. Bhindi, the king of bundling. My soul was cleansed upon walking out of that shop.
