Band restoration
Hello everyone !!
I need your advice, I'm looking to restore a very old solid gold elastic rivet bracelet. Kind of a rare piece. I was in contact with LAWW, but the don't remove stretch from the bracelet. The bracelet is in ok shape, nothing major but I want my watch to be perfect. Do you have any recommendation? PS: I'm sorry but I will not work with MY anymore. |

OP, have you dealt with MY or are you basing your unwillingness to work with him from a recent thread? Only a very small percentage have been unhappy with him and usually its something easily corrected or not work related.

I had 2 previous bad experience with MY.
First one was with a Tudor 7016 to restore. I waited 9 months to get my watch back. The hands were not even aligned, the movement was not working, I had to provide him with all the parts. The parts could be easily found online. and the remplacement insert was not by an original has stated. I tried again on a bracelet because I knew service is not his field, but the job was ok, but not that great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have used MY three times. The first 2 were jubilee bracelets, one SS, one TT. He did an excellent job on both.
Right now he has a tired Enicar that he has already restored the bracelet & is servicing the watch. His work has been great all around. His communication skills are not that great however. I responded to an email from him right away last week & still waiting for his response. He is well known for this. I sent him the Enicar because of the first two great experiences. At this point I trust him, but you have to be comfortable in the end. |

I've used MY a few times and always had a good experience. Maybe just my luck, but he always replies within a day, and given I'm CONUS that's pretty good.
The only thing I will say, and this is NOT a complaint, is that he makes the bracelets super tight. I don't think a 9315 ever came as tight from the factory as they come back from MY. I may ask next time for slightly looser. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

If you also stay in Lyon (France) you might try Goldschmiede Beste in Winterberg, Germany. They did two presidents for me, outstanding job.

I surely will. After the bracelet is not that bad after all, if I don't find something under 1000$ it will go to Edvi for a quick restoration.
