BLNR and SD4000
I currently wear a BLNR and am considering getting the SD4000, especially since it has been discontinued as of today.
So my question for the forum...from an appearance perspective, do you feel that these 2 watches look too similar? I don't want to own 2 watches that look too much alike! Personally, I do think they are different. But multiple heads are better than one! Thanks! |

Blnr looks classy and refined whereas the SD4k is now officially the last of the dying breed of pure unadulterated tool watches that Rolex used to offer! Both wear totally different and are unbelievable pieces that deserved to be owned together!

BLNR is a superstar and looks like it. The SD is a lot more conservative looking. Unless you actually dive deeper than a swimming pool, the SD isn't a watch you would need other than for the look.

I own both and they are truly very different from each other. At first I was going with a SubC and BLNR but felt that was too similar so I went with SD4K & BLNR and am happy with the decision. Besides, I have a older version TT Sub as seen in my avatar so more variety

I have the SD4K and actually just posted a thread about adding a BLNR to the family. I think they are different enough that you won't feel bad about having both. Both are excellent choices by themselves.

BLNR and SD4K look nothing alike, BLNR has the maxi case, PCl's, the bezel is bi directional and a cyclops. SD4K has none of those things. Slightly smaller case, brushed bracelet, no cyclops, and the bezel on the SD4K i love because of the minute graduations that the sub bezel doesn't have. It really is the perfect watch. i personally think you're more than good

No, I don't think they look too similar...but that is from a WIS perspective.
I think to the non-WIS, that similarity factor increases significantly. |

I have both, they look very different in the flesh and make a great pair - BLNR for smart and SDc for casual.

I have both. Wear them for different occasions. SD is my casual under the radar watch. BLNR is my work Watch

That was my dilemma a couple of months ago. Really liked the SD4K with the slimmer lugs, however, I just felt as it was too similar to my BLNR. Instead a purchased a LVc.

It is a dynamic pair. I DEFINITELY (after today's announcement) think the 116600 is the best overall modern diver Rolex has to offer.

Look and feel is very different from watch to watch.
Both awesome, both are quintessential modern Rolex, but both offer different things. |

Possibly the worst time to buy right now. Everyone's trying to grab them up thinking it's going up in value. Wait a little bit and I'm sure they'll flood the market again.
Btw, I got rid of the SD for the BLNR and would do it again. I strongly suggest trying one on before you buy, you may not like the thickness.
